Playing Catch-Up

Okay, Okay! I know it's been forever! Here's what's been going on in a nutshell...VERY abridged version!!

Cassidy had a wonderful 1st birthday party, with family and friends coming to join us at the neighborhood playground. We enjoyed ourselves at the beach house over mommy's spring break, even though the beach didn't appeal to the little boy. Grammy and Bubby have gotten Cassidy used to the pool, teaching him how to blow bubbles, kick his feet, and jump off the side. We're using forks and spoons to eat and have not discovered too much that we don't like. Cass is walking like a champ, kicking balls, rollings cars and trucks, dancing to ALL music, and making us laugh. He is quite the ham! So much personality in that little body!

For those of you who don't know, Cassidy had another run-in with Davis. I'm not sure how it happened, but it was awful. In the beginning of May, we had to spend the night down at MUSC with him. He had to be put under to get stitches in this cheek. Not fun! Davis is now living with a close friend of ours. So, when you see those marks on the right side of his face...there's the explanation.

Anyway...enjoy the pictures!

Southern Snow

Last Saturday, we woke up to a Winter Wonderland in South Carolina! Since we don't normally have snow, we loved it. Our neighborhood really looked beautiful covered in white. Cass loved looking at it on the trees and bushes. He did not, however, like touching it or getting down in it. I think we have a true southern boy...he prefers sand!

No Words...

brushing our hair

Grammy started this....

After Cassidy takes a bath at night, his hair is WILD! When we come downstairs to do some hardcore before-bed playing, he always grabs his brush. I'll say, "Let's brush your hair." He lets me brush it first, then he brushes it. It's really too cute!

RE-discovering toys

Even though we've had our Mega-Blocks--or big Legos for those of you "older" folks--Cassidy has just recently decided that he loves them. He likes to break apart Mommy's creations and attempt to put them back together. I know I'm bias, but he's a smarty pants.
