Outback Bowl

We went to the Outback Bowl in Tampa, FL again to support the USC Gamecocks.

Unfortunately, they
didn't impress...

We had a really good time, though. We went to a family luncheon for the players' families, a pep rally and parade, and the game on New Year's Day. We got to hang out with both parents while we were there and were even graced with Reid's presence. Our seats at the game were wonderful...well, for me. We were directly behind the South Carolina goal posts, 3 rows up. I say they were good seats for me...and mom...because we could see sitting down and standing up. Dad and Andy were a little too tall and got the goal post if they stood up. But, it was super cool to see everything that close. It was a lot of fun! This is us at the parade in Ybor City.

How cool is this?!

Update on Momma and Cassidy Reed

Well, here's a good shot of momma in a nice, tight shirt. You can see me in all of my glory! Haha!!

So, an update is needed for some of you. Over my Christmas break, we had a little bit of drama with the momma. I went in to take my glucose tolerance test, which is a normal test for pregnant women. My doctor was concerned with me, though, because little Cassidy Reed isn't so little. So, I went in the Monday before Christmas for the test. I had to leave because my side/back was hurting so badly that I couldn't stand up. I know I gave Mom and Dad a heartache because I just walked in their house and started crying. I felt so bad for them, but I felt terrible! I think I had a touch of something that my kids were carrying because I couldn't keep food in me. But, the back pain was awful. I went to my OB that afternoon and was told that I was experiencing "normal pregnancy pains," which I knew wasn't right. That day and night were horrible, but Tuesday was fine. I went back to the lab and completed the blood tests. I was fine all day...even did some final Christmas shopping! That night, when I got back home to the hubs, I was in excruciating pain again. It started about 7:00pm and lasted until 1:00am. Poor Andy felt so helpless! So, I got to the on-call doctor and talked to another family-friend doctor. I made an appointment to go back in to see my OB on Christmas Eve. She finally agreed that it might not be "normal pregnancy pains" and sent me to Summerville Medical Center for tests--kidney stones, possibly. To make a really long story not-so-long, they couldn't really see much on the ultrasound except some blockage. I loaded up on the water and cranberry juice, per orders from the family-friend doctor, and have felt nothing since Christmas Eve. I don't know if I passed a stone and didn't know it or what was going on. I do know that I feel fine now! Also at that appointment on Christmas Eve I was informed that my sugar levels were very high and needed to go have more blood work done to test for gestational diabetes. I am happy to report that I found out today--I'm fine! The first test must have been a fluke...momma and baby are doing wonderfully now.
