Excuses...Excuses!

Okay, I know it's been too long! I posted some of the summer memories about a month or so ago, and a few days after that our house was struck by lightning! We weren't here, but it was a last-minute decision that got us all out of the house. Andy had a softball game in Walterboro, and Cass and I reluctantly went. :o) There was a bad lightning storm here in Summerville that night--we could see it from Walterboro. Yikes! When we got home, we noticed a smell of burning--like an electrical fire. We talked to the neighbors and looked around the house and yard...and found out that we must have been struck. It hit both sides of the back of the house and blew off the corner siding. It finished our hot-water heater and the air conditioner. It blew outlets off the wall and into pieces; shot nails out the wall; killed the tv, surround-sound, my computer, and some lights. It's wild what lightning can do! Anyway, we had the fire department out here...I kept thinking that we were having the big truck here and Cass was sleeping! (No pictures of that.) Here are some pictures of our damage...
