Tomorrow marks the one-year anniversary of Cassidy Fae Pendley's death. She, along with six others, were killed in the Ocean Isle Fire on October 28, 2007. Cassidy dated Reid for a while and became very close with our family. She graduated from Fort Dorchester High School and started USC last fall. She pledged Tri Delta and was initiated after her death. Cassidy was always laughing and smiling. She looked for the positive in everything every day. She was a smart, beautiful, and fun person, and we miss her deeply. Andy and I felt such a strong connection with her, we decided to name our first child-boy or girl-after her.Monday, October 27, 2008

We are so happy for the both of you. I didn't know you were having a boy! I am so excited that you have a BLOG too! I added you to mine also. Take care!

The tribute to Cassidy is beautiful. I am sure that "our" little boy will be honored to have her name.
Love, Birdie
